WIP Grunt

So I haven't done any drawing in quite sometime due to my crazy work schedule. This is something I started probably 2 weeks ago in an evening, and I havent gone back to. Thought I could at least share this. Concept was going to be this guy about to be hanged, and the executioner being 1/4 his size, scared and holding up the noose. Maybe i will get back to it one day. Use your imagination about how the executioner would look. haha.

At first I just published the BW, and then i went back and fiddled with some color quick. Couldnt decide which one i liked best. Something creepy about the last one in the green that i like.

Everyday I come home to this exact image. My wife looking up over her laptop with a cute smile on her face. Half excited to see me come home, and half hiding the fact that she just needs to finish up one more prize entry before she comes to greet me... if you know Andrea, you know what I mean.

Early Anniversary

Our 2 year anniversary is a couple weeks away, and I couldnt wait to show her a little sketch, to remind us of our first dance at our wedding. And I can't lie.. I am awful at keeping secrets. Love you Andrea!

Character Design . Sophie (The BFG)

Short Film Storyboards

Here are the storyboards from my short film at Sheridan College. Its funny to look back at my short and see so many things I would change after the work experience I have had in the last few years. Yet I am still proud of what I was able to accomplish on my own, as a student, in those few short months. So here they are:

Andrew Millstein Caricature

Sat down last night and needed to draw something. Here's the outcome. Andrew Millstein, GM of disney. I actually just drew his head, and had no idea where to place him. I was watching lost at the same time, and the way i had his head streaked forward, i thought maybe i would put him on a jungle vine.. but it didnt make sense, so i thought maybe he would be like king kong, swatting off planes.. which didnt make sense either. so i just put him hanging off the top of the animation building.. why you ask? no idea.. thought it would be interesting/fun. And isnt that the whole point in the end?

John Musker and Ron Clements Caricature

This week I had the opportunity to meet Ron and John, at a book signing at Disney, as they just released "The Princess and the Frog" on DVD/Blu-ray. As a result, they have become the subject of my latest caricature submission for the show. Enjoy!

Roy Conli Caricature

Well this will be the last caricature that I will submit to the show, since they are due tomorrow. This one is of Roy Conli who is the producer on "Tangled". I might start back on TV show characters again. We'll see what inspirations hit me this week.

Nathan Greno and Byron Howard Caricature

We have a caricature show coming up in a few weeks at work. So I came up with this idea of the co-directors being "Tangled" up, as they are working on story boards and drawings. I just thought it would be an interesting image, and I think the final result was pretty pleasing. Hope you enjoy! Now back to catching up on "Lost", as Andrea and I are only starting on Season 3. Then onto watching the gold medal hockey game between US and Canada. Go Canada Go!

Ron Swanson

I'm back! Well i never really went anywhere, but i definitely haven't posted in a very long time. I think it's about time I start posting some of my sketches again. Looking for some inspiration, I turned to "Parks and Recreations", and found alot of interesting characters to draw. I hope this will be a start to a couple more from that show. If anyone has caricature suggestions out there.. feel free to let me know! I'll see if I can break free from the realism and add a little more fun to the next one.
